For Good Beats Get These

It's not always easy to get excited about a pair of headphones on first glance. Generally, the listening experience, which is gathered only after putting a set on and sitting down with some favorite music, is what draws people in. Not so with the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, a sweet-looking set that will relieve you of $350. While their sound quality is nothing to scoff at, their appeal as eye-candy is undeniable. For audio enthusiasts who are tired of the same old look, the Beats are a must.

If anybody knows that the world isn't perfect, it's singer/songwriter The-Dream. Last year, the man behind hit songs by everyone from Mariah Carey ("Touch My Body") to Rihanna ("Umbrella") said he was retiring as an artist, vowing to abide by a threat he'd been teasing about for some time.
"It's the last album, period,"The-Dream told MTV Newswith regard to his Love Kingproject. "I really would like it to be the last one if I could — in a perfect world."

Things haven't exactly gone smooth for The-Dream since that time. He divorced singer/actress Christina Milianamid allegations of adultery and revealed that he thought about suicide during the aftermath of the breakup.

But now, the Grammy-winning producer has revealed that he is hard at work on a new solo effort.

"Everybody's calling for an album now, so I should have one out by August,"

Patience has paid off for Nicki Minaj. The first lady of Young Money just missed out on a #1 debut for her Pink Friday album back in November, settling for #2 behind Kanye West, and she's consistently hung around in the top 10 ever since. Well, next week she'll finally get her reward when her major-label debut climbs into the pole position on the Billboard 200 thanks to sales of 45,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. She'll have something else to celebrate as well, as the 18-percent uptick in sales has pushed the disc over the 1 million mark.

The good news for Nicki means that Christian rockers Red will just miss out on their first #1 debut, landing instead at #2 with their third effort, Until We Have Faces (43,000 copies). Debuting at #3 is the latest offering from Ricky Martin, Musica + Alma + Sexo, which sold 32,000 copies and was the only other new entry at the top of the charts.
